The management and staff would like to welcome you to Mountainview Guest Lodge.  It is situated in George, the heart of the Garden Route, along the South Western Coast of South Africa.  The Garden Route is known for it's natural beauty,tranquility and fantastic tourist destinations.

Mountainview Guest Lodge is an impressive majestic building just off Courtney Street in George.  It is a huge landmark which can be seen when entering George from Knysna or York Street.  Mountainview Guest Lodge is barely a kilometer away from the impressive new George shopping mall.

We serve a healthy buffet style breakfast consisting of a variety of choices.  All food provided is halaal.  We have a conference room with beautiful views of the majestic Outeniqua Mountains, which could accomodate 20 - 30 people  comfortably.  George is the most centrally located town along the Garden Route.  Our lodge is conveniently situated.  The local masjid is within walking distance from the lodge.

Opposite we have the famous Bell's Golf Driving Range at the Vodacom Golf Village which also boasts a mini golf course.  George is worldwide renowned as the "Golfing Mecca" of South Africa and has hosted the Golf World Cup recently at the famous Fancourt Golf Club.  There are many other spectacular world class golf courses within close proximity.

Close to Mountainview Guest Lodge (± 2 - 3 km) is probably one of the safest & most attractive beaches in South Africa i.e. Victoria Bay, also known as "Vic Bay", which from time to time hosts national & international surfing competitions.


Mountainview Guest Lodge in George, is extremely centrally situated & is surrounded by various well known towns famous for attracting tourists along the Garden Route.  Oudtshoorn, Knysna, Plettenberg Bay, Mossel Bay and Great Brak  are approximately ½hour to 1hour's drive from George.  From George one could do a day trip to Knysna & Plett, Oudtshoorn, Mossel Bay or Great Brak. 

Further along the coast toward Port Elizabeth you will find the Tsitsikama Nature Reserve which is world renowned for the famous Otter Hiking Trail and Tsitsikama Hiking Trail.  Here you will be hiking through a pristine indigenous forest & natural fynbos area along a rugged coastline.  We want to warn you that taking on these trails are not for the unfit & fainthearted hiker.
